Bluegrass, Bourbon, & Beyond: Young Preservationist Event

Calling all young professionals in Cashiers! Join the Cashiers Historical Society to celebrate the history and heritage of the Cashiers Valley at Bluegrass, Bourbon, & Beyond: A Young Preservationist Event. As part of this year’s Showhouse, CHS is gathering the next generation of Cashiers area preservationists to mix and mingle over bluegrass and bourbon. This will be the first event in a series for young professionals interested in becoming involved at CHS. Come meet fellow young people interested in stewarding Cashiers Valley history for years to come.

Guests will enjoy live music from The Kooks of Hazard, an engaging discussion on the history of bourbon led by Blade and Bow, a build-your-own mint julep bar, and delicious hors d’oeuvres. The evening also features custom hat styling and classic lawn games, such as cornhole and giant Jenga—perfect for a little friendly competition!

Bluegrass, Bourbon, & Beyond is part of a larger initiative to grow the Historical Society’s Young Preservationists program and create meaningful opportunities for the next generation to engage with and support the mission of the Cashiers Historical Society.
