Some stories are written in the land itself, in the roots of an old apple tree, the shape of a forgotten orchard, the taste of an apple that almost disappeared from this region entirely. This Social House gathering celebrates two rare and storied apples native to this region: the Cullasaja and the Junaluska. Join orchardist Lec Hobbs and a representative from the Cashiers Historical Society as they share the history and craft behind these remarkable fruits, culminating in a homemade cider demonstration and light refreshments that connect us to the heritage of this place in the most delicious way possible.
