Despite some unexpected snow, winter is beginning to soften and as we look toward spring, there’s a renewed sense of energy across our business community. February and March are a time of preparation, planning, and partnership — and here at the Chamber, we’re leaning into all three.
This year, my Chamber word of the year is Collaboration.
In southern Jackson County, progress doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens through partnership. Businesses, nonprofits, community leaders, and volunteers each play a vital role, and when those efforts are aligned, real momentum follows. The Chamber is honored to serve as a connector and convener within that network — bringing people to the table, fostering shared vision, and helping turn collaboration into measurable impact. This season reflects that spirit more than ever.
From advancing our Small Business Growth & Workforce Development initiatives and expanding Leadership Cashiers, to deepening sponsorship partnerships and preparing for signature events, we are intentionally aligning our work with the people and organizations who help move this community forward. Collaboration isn’t just a theme — it’s a strategy. When we work together with purpose, we elevate visibility for our businesses, expand opportunity across sectors, and strengthen the long-term resilience of our local economy.
We’re also looking forward to welcoming you into our refreshed Chamber & Visitor Center space on March 19 — a physical representation of what collaboration can accomplish.
