One of the most anticipated traditions of Independence Day weekend returns to Lake Glenville! Decorate your boat, gather your family and friends, and join the 5th Annual Gala Boat Parade, sponsored by Friends of Lake Glenville in celebration of America's 250th Birthday.
Whether your theme is patriotic, whimsical, or wildly creative, this festive parade is your chance to shine before thousands of spectators gathered for Fireworks Over Lake Glenville. Pull out the flags, streamers, lights, and stars and stripes, and help create an unforgettable evening on the water!
Sunday, July 5
Boat Line-Up: 8:00 p.m.
Parade Begins: 8:30 p.m. (Promptly)
Listen for parade instructions from Friends of Lake Glenville's own Captain Chris Warner aboard Boat #1.
Boats will assemble near The Point, where the fireworks are launched, before cruising the west side of Lake Glenville past Trillium's Lake Club and turning near L'il Switzerland and the private island. The parade will then continue along the east side of the lake beside NC Highway 107 North before turning at Signal Ridge Marina for a second pass.
The judges' stand will be located on Mountaintop's docks behind Hamburg Baptist Church, just before Signal Ridge Marina.
Participation is free! To register, text the captain's name and phone number to Mollie Newman Hall at Mountainview Marine. You'll receive your assigned boat number, pickup instructions, and additional parade information.
Bring your patriotic spirit, your imagination, and your best decorations as Lake Glenville celebrates America's birthday in spectacular style!
