Description

The holiday season has arrived on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau, and there’s no cozier way to celebrate than an afternoon among handmade gifts and good company.

Following the Highlands Christmas Parade, The Bascom opens its doors for a festive reception at the Holiday Market. Wrap your hands around a mug of hot chocolate, help yourself to cookies and cheese straws, and take your time browsing handcrafted gifts from local and regional artists. A special trunk show adds even more to discover, along with the chance to meet the maker in person.

It’s holiday shopping the way it should feel: unhurried, festive, and full of one-of-a-kind pieces made by hand in Western North Carolina. Make a day of it with the parade, or simply come for the reception. Bring the whole family, and bring your list.
