We love teaching others the great sport of fly fishing. . Brookings employs some of the most experienced fly-fishing guides in WNC, so we can accomodate all experience levels. We offer fly-fishing schools for the beginner, wade fishing trips, and float trips.
Our Fly Shop
Brookings is proud to have one of the largest inventories of fly fishing goods in the South East. We love that the sport of fly fishing is forever evolving, and we like to keep up with the latest and greatest gear, but at the same time we don’t forget about the “old standards” that never quit working. We carry almost all of the major fly fishing brands, and then some. Our specialty is the equipment and apparel that go hand in hand with North Carolina fly fishing, but we also carry saltwater, western, warm water, and even "jungle" fly gear. You can also find a corner of our store dedicated to the conventional angler. Our storefront includes "The Blue Line Bar" overlooking Cashiers Lake. We serve beer, wine and snacks, both at our indoor bar as well as in our screen porch and deck. Come and enjoy some live music with us on most Saturdays!
